Different Types Wheels
There are many different types of wheels. They all are used for a specific reason. One example is a basketball or any ball used in a sport. It is made so a person can handle it, dribble it, shoot it, throw it. A bowling ball can be used to roll down an alley and knock over pins. Although these examples would not immediately pop into your head when you hear the word wheel - the invention of the wheel has led to these innovation. Another type of wheel is a tire. It is built from a single circle in 3-d shape which is considered a wheel. Builders then put a steel rim in the wheel to support the outer most layer, the rubber or the tire. They make the wheel as big as they need to support the vehicle. Obviosly this type of wheel is used for transportation. Still another wheel is a potter's wheel. It is used to make artwork. This artwork can sometimes turn out to become a famous piece of work. We use wheels constantly in our everday lives. The innovation of the wheel and its advancements has made our world better.
